Boxnite respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the same from its users. This page explains how to report a copyright infringement claim and how such reports are handled.

1. Our Position

Boxnite is a non-commercial, hobby-developed project. Copyrighted/third-party content is never sold, and we do not generate direct monetary profit from such content. The Game may contain elements that reference third-party brands, character designs, or concepts; all rights to these belong to their respective owners. If you are a rights holder and believe your content has been used inappropriately, you can reach us using the process below.

2. How to Submit a Copyright Infringement Notice

To submit a copyright infringement notice, please send us the following information via the Discord channel listed on the Contact page:

1. A description of the work/copyrighted material you believe is being infringed (with a link to the original source, if available).
2. The exact location of the allegedly infringing content within Boxnite (map, item name, screenshot, or other identifying detail, as specific as possible).
3. Your contact information (so we can respond to you).
4. A statement that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act on the rights holder's behalf.
5. A statement that the information you've provided is accurate and submitted in good faith.

3. How Rights Holders Can Submit a Claim

Claims are only accepted as a written notice, containing the information above, via the Discord channel listed on the Contact page. Notices missing required information may not be processed; in that case we may request additional details from you.

4. Content Removal Process

1. Once we receive your notice, it is reviewed within a reasonable time.
2. If the claim is upheld, the relevant content (asset, name, image, etc.) is removed, replaced, or renamed in the Game.
3. Where appropriate, the user who added the disputed content may be notified.
4. If we determine a notice was abusive or made in bad faith, we may reject it.

5. Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed unfairly, you may submit a counter-notice with your reasoning through the same contact channel; your request will be reconsidered.
